Once you are logged in the BlueFox Ground truth mobile app, you will see the list of Spaces, Sensor Locations and Groups in your organization.
Navigate to the individual sensor you want to calibrate. Navigate via Spaces or Groups. Or go to Sensor Locations and scroll or use the search box.
Once a sensor is selected, you’ll have an option to add a headcount snapshot or a threshold count.
- A headcount snapshot count is the number of people present in the intended detection zone at a moment in time.
- A threshold count requires a count of people entering and leaving the intended detection zone for at least 15 minutes. See Best Practices for ground truth data collection
A threshold does not necessarily need to be a doorway: it can be any passage at the perimeter that defines the detection zone for a Sensor Location, such as an escalator entrance, a line on the floor marked with blue tape, or even an imaginary line.
People entering the detection zone MUST traverse a threshold of some type: measuring transitions across the full set of thresholds for a Sensor Location will count *all* people entering or exiting the detection zone.
For locations with multiple entrances/exits, threshold counts must be taken at each of the entrances/exits concurrently. The length of time when all thresholds are concurrently monitored should be a minimum of 15 minutes. For example, a location with three entrances/exits would typically require three people, each running the BlueFox Ground Truth mobile application concurrently on his-or-her mobile phone. Each period during which all entrances/exits are counted for at least 15 minutes is considered one “threshold count”.
You can define thresholds with either the BlueZoo mobile app or the web dashboard. Once one or more thresholds are defined for a sensor, a “threshold count” can only be performed when *all* thresholds are concurrently counted.
Tap on ‘+’ and ‘-’ to log people entering and exiting the location. Once done, hit the ‘submit’ button.
