BlueFox Artic Fox and White Rhino sensors are shipped with a USB Wi-Fi dongle that allows the sensor to connect to the Internet wirelessly - as an alternative to connecting via Ethernet cable. Please use the Wi-Fi dongle provided as this is specifically engineered for use with your sensor.
BlueFox Yellow Mongoose sensor model does not require such a USB dongle to connect to Wi-Fi.
Important:
- If provided, be sure to plug your Wi-Fi dongle into the USB port before powering up your sensor, then follow the in-app instructions as shown below.
- The following instructions do not apply to the BlueFox White Rhino (MiFi) sensor
Exit the app and to your phone's Wi-Fi Settings menu. Select the network that matches what's displayed on your screen: @BLUEFOX_XXXXXXX.
Once you see the checkmark, go back to the BlueFox App and enter your Wi-Fi Credentials when prompted.
Once it's connected correctly, you'll see a single green light on your sensor, which indicates a successful Internet connection.
Troubleshooting tip: If you are unable to connect to your sensor Access Point network beginning with @BLUEFOX_xxxxxx, try pressing and holding the reset button on the side of your device for 10 seconds. This will restore your sensor to factory fresh settings, and you will need to repeat the pairing steps above. Be patient - It could take up to 2-3 minutes before your device Access Point is ready to attach to.
